Myo Thiha Kyaw

Senior Java Developer

I graduated from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon in 2012. After that I attended the Software Engineering Course, especially in Java Programming in ICTTI nearly 6 months. Then I got my first job in AcePlus Solution Co. Ltd. and worked for 1 year and 8 months. Then I joined Tech Fun Myanmar in 2015. I have been working over 5 years for Tech Fun Myanmar. While working in Tech Fun Myanmar, I also got the English Diploma from SEAMEO Chat.

As I was a Software Developer, I was interested in the new technology, IT gadgets, smart devices and cars. Mostly I used my time on the internet. There are a lot of useful things such as tutoring for programming, technologies, review and unboxing videos for new devices, important update news in Business and IT, Guides for healthy and smart life. Sometimes I also play PC games and listen to music to reduce my stress.

What kind of programming skills do you want to acquire in Tech Fun Myanmar?

Popular and Useful programming languages such as Java, Python, etc. But honestly as I am a Java Programmer and I would like to get much knowledge on Advanced Java Programming. There are a lot of frameworks and libraries I have not learned and these can make it easier and more effective while building a web application. If there is enough time I get, I also would like to learn other programming languages.

What kind of projects do you want to do in the future?

It is quite simple. Such as web application projects or backend APIs that have a customer to use it.

What is something that you keep in your mind when you work?

“To get excellent products or results, there needs to be excellent from the little parts of it”. I keep that slogan in mind and I developed carefully even if it is a small function.

Tell me about popular programming languages and why that programming languages are popular in Myanmar.

Currently, programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Swift) that develop mobile apps are more popular than the others languages as if most of the people in myanmar are more family with mobile than PC. That is why most developers are interested in developing mobile apps to get more income. On the other hand there are fewer companies that can develop commercial web applications. So web application programming languages (Java, Python) are still popular among strong companies.
